Steve Martin and Christine Schlapa from Enterprise’s Auckland operation attended the private function where German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke to NZGBA members, addressing the group in both German and English languages.
Chancellor Merkel, offered her support to working towards a free trade agreement between the European union and New Zealand and is very positive about the future of the two countries. It was a privilege to listen to a world leader present to a motivated audience in such an engaging way.
Steve Martin said it was a good humoured occasion where a relaxed Chancellor Merkel took time to chat with NZGBA members and even posed for a few “selfies” with an admiring audience.
