Enterprise Reports a 40% increase in Mobile Phone Traffic from September
As the influence of the internet and technology advances, the way in which we are connecting with it is changing. Increasingly users are accessing the web from mobile devices. In fact it is projected that by 2017 87% of internet capable devices in the world will be smartphones or tablets. For forward thinking organisations with a web presence, mobile optimisation has been a hot topic for the past 18 months.

Businesses being aware of these types of trends is becoming increasingly important in the modern commercial environment. A 2014 study
into the value of internet services to NZ business estimated that if businesses “making low use of Internet services became more like high-using firms, it could be worth an additional $34billion in productivity impacts, initially for those firms and through them for the nation’s economy as a whole”.
At present firms in NZ with high use of the Internet are 6% more productive than those that aren’t and mobile optimisation is an increasingly important factor for organisations looking to take advantage of internet services in NZ.
