We’re on the lookout for a Weighbridge Operator who’s switched on, friendly, and as accurate as they come.
If you’ve used a weighbridge before, awesome.
If not, no worries — as long as you’re good with numbers, pay close attention to detail, and you’re comfortable in a trucking/transport/yard environment, we can teach you the rest.
What the job’s all about
- Be the friendly face people deal with when they arrive
- Weigh trucks in and out of the yard
- Check loads, print tickets, and keep all the paperwork tidy
- Enter info into the computer system
- Chat with drivers, suppliers, and yard staff
- Make sure suppliers get the right prices and the right info
- Keep the flow of trucks moving smoothly
- Help answer the phones and support dispatch when needed
Someone who:
- Is solid with numbers and doesn’t miss the details
- Has good computer skills — data entry, quick typing, picking things up fast
- Is friendly, approachable, and easy to deal with
- Knows trucks, tonnages, yards, or scrap metal (or wants to learn)
- Communicates clearly — in person, on the phone, and over the RT
- Can work on their own, stay organised, and keep things moving
- Shows up, works hard, and gets on well with the team
- Weighbridge experience
- Transport or logistics background
- Experience with pricing or dispatching
- Like practical work mixed with a bit of admin
- Enjoys a busy yard and dealing with all sorts of people
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Wants a stable, long‑term role in a good crew
