Our client is on the lookout for a driven and hands on Leader to lead a tight knit, high performing delivery team based out of their Auckland warehouse. If you're someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, knows how to take ownership, and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, this could be your next big step.
You’ll be managing a large fleet (mostly vans, a couple of Class 4s, and a few Class 2s), planning and overseeing runs from Hamilton all the way up to the far North. You’ll also be in the thick of things, coaching your team, jumping on the tools when needed, and thinking about the bigger picture to drive operational success. Leadership and accountability are huge here. You’ll need to lead from the front, set clear expectations, and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery team
- Plan daily routes and manage workloads
- Monitor performance
- Make sure vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and fully compliant
- Handle any on road incidents, including accident reporting and repairs
- Foster a strong health & safety culture
- Ensure all MPI and company compliance processes are followed
- Pitch in with container devanning and liaise with the warehouse team to get jobs done
- Proven experience leading a team in a fast moving operational environment
- Class 1 licence required, Class 2 ideal
- Health & safety know how
- Confident using systems like EROAD and open to learning new technology
