Terminal Operator
We are currently seeking an experienced Terminal Operator to join a busy and safety-focused site. This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of products, while ensuring terminal equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
This position will suit someone with terminal operations experience, strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely receive, store and dispatch products while maintaining product quality and efficient terminal operations.
- Operate, monitor and maintain terminal equipment and measurement systems, including meters, weigh scales, tank gauging and injection equipment.
- Carry out routine operational and maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and performance of terminal facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, environmental, regulatory and site operating procedures, including emergency response responsibilities.
- Coordinate contractors, drivers and internal teams, supporting site inductions, training, safety requirements and day-to-day operational activities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Terminal Operator or within a fuel, chemical, logistics or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of measurement systems, product transfer processes and operational compliance requirements.
- Good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, lead where required and build effective working relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), with a current full driver's licence and a commitment to safe work practices.
