We're on the lookout for an experienced STMS /TMO to join a growing team where your expertise will genuinely make a difference, keeping workers, road users, and the public safe every single day.
This is a hands-on role in temporary traffic management (TTM), operating across high-volume arterials and motorway environments. You'll work alongside site managers, clients, and road controlling authorities, owning the delivery of safe, compliant TTM from setup to sign-off.
STMS
- Supervise and lead traffic management crews on-site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
- Implement and monitor approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), ensuring all setups are compliant and maintained throughout each shift
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, relevant legislation, and industry best practice at all times
- Complete required documentation and reporting accurately, including daily diaries, incident reports, and TMP recordd
- Direct traffic using stop/go paddies or radio communication
- Maintain clear and safe traffic flow through or around the worksites
- Respond quickly to changing road or weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
You're a well-rounded STMS/TMO professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. You bring solid hands-on experience from high-volume roads and motorways, and you know how to lead a crew and hold the standard. Just as importantly, you show up with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.
- STMS CAT A or CAT B qualification (essential)
- TMO NP or P qualification (essential)
- Full New Zealand driver licence — Class 2 advantageous
- Proven experience in traffic management and site supervision, ideally on state highways or motorway environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage crews under pressure
- Must be flexible to work Mornings or Nightshifts including long hours and weekends
