We're on the lookout for an experienced STMS to join a busy civil contractor working on roading and asphalt projects across Christchurch and wider Canterbury. There's an immediate start available and steady work to follow.
You'll be the one responsible for keeping the site safe and the traffic moving. That means setting up to the approved plan, staying on top of conditions as the job changes through the day, and making the call when something needs adjusting. The crews you'll be working with are experienced, and they'll expect the same from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Setting up, monitoring and packing down traffic management
- Working to approved TMPs and adjusting on site as conditions change
- Completing on-site records and daily documentation
- Working alongside roading and asphalt crews, assisting where needed
- Keeping the public, the crew and yourself safe
- Current STMS ticket
- Previous traffic management experience on live sites
- Full driver's licence; Class 2 is an advantage
- Reliable, punctual and happy to work varied hours including nights
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly
