Solar Technician – Renewable Energy Systems

What You’ll Be Doing: 
  • Installing solar, battery, and microgrid installations.
  • Working on a mix of residential, commercial, and off-grid projects.
  • Commission advanced energy systems, including batteries, generators, and control interfaces
  • Troubleshooting and optimising system performance using monitoring tools and control systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Travelling to project sites across the region (and occasionally remote locations).
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Registered Electrician (EWRB preferred or eligible).
  • 3+ years of experience in solar and battery installations, including off-grid or hybrid systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability across AC/DC systems.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and on commercial rooftops.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable:
  • Experience with SCADA, automation, or remote monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of battery management systems and energy control software.
  • Training or certification in workplace safety (e.g. Site Safe, First Aid, H&S Leadership)
