We’re seeking an experienced Senior Solar Electrician
to lead complex renewable energy installations and guide a skilled team through design, commissioning, and optimisation phases.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and training a small team (3–4) on solar, battery, and microgrid installations.
- Managing multiple projects, from commercial rooftops to off-grid systems.
- Commission advanced energy systems, including batteries, generators, and control interfaces
- Troubleshooting and optimising system performance using monitoring tools and control systems.
- Coordinating materials, suppliers, and client communications.
- Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and health & safety regulations.
- Travelling to project sites across the region (and occasionally remote locations).
- Registered Electrician (EWRB preferred or eligible).
- 5+ years of experience in solar and battery installations, including off-grid or hybrid systems.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability across AC/DC systems.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and on commercial rooftops.
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Experience with SCADA, automation, or remote monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of battery management systems and energy control software.
- Training or certification in workplace safety (e.g. Site Safe, First Aid, H&S Leadership)
