As our Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll influence real outcomes from keeping our people safe and supporting successful return-to-work programmes, to shaping and delivering meaningful wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.
The Opportunity
You’ll be the go-to expert for H&S and wellbeing, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance requirements are met and our safety culture continues to improve. You will play a key role in managing our ACC Accredited Employer Programme (AEP) and supporting effective injury management outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the ACC Accredited Employer Programme (AEP) in partnership with Wellnz
- Lead injury management and return-to-work processes
- Coordinate and drive the Safety & Wellbeing Committee
- Maintain HSE systems and reporting (Vault/Damstra)
- Prepare monthly safety reports and board dashboards
- Deliver risk, compliance, and incident reporting
- Support internal and external safety training programmes
- Assist with audits and accreditations (ACC, SafePlus, StaffSure, PREQUAL)
- Promote a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture
- Experience in a health & safety, HSE, or wellbeing-focused role
- Knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation and ACC processes
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with reporting systems or safety databases
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
