Reach Truck Operator
We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join a growing warehouse team in Christchurch. This is a Monday to Friday role (8:00am to 4:30pm) in a modern facility that has been operating just over a year, known for its tidy, well-organised layout and welcoming team culture.
About the role:
This is a hands-on position that goes beyond driving forklifts. Alongside operating reach trucks to safely handle a variety of loads stacked up to 6 metres high, you will also be responsible for detailed picking and packing, QR scanning, and using warehouse management systems. Accuracy, efficiency, and technical capability are important as the site continues to grow and support new contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating reach trucks confidently with varied loads at height
- Detailed picking, packing, and scanning of goods
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Inputting data into warehouse systems with accuracy
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Supporting the team as required in a fast-paced setting
- Must have proven experience operating a reach truck
- Comfortable working with high stacking (up to 6m) and mixed freight
- Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Able to pick up warehouse systems and processes quickly
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
- Monday to Friday hours (8:00am – 4:30pm), with only occasional weekend requirements if needed
