About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing operation in Christchurch, producing flour, pre-mixes, and specialty products for the food industry. Our client is looking for an experienced Reach Operator to join their busy warehouse team on a temporary, ongoing basis.
This is a great opportunity, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, for someone who takes pride in efficient, accurate reach truck operation within a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You'll work a Monday–Friday roster, across day and afternoon shifts.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating a reach truck (and forklift, where required) to safely and efficiently move stock around the warehouse
- Loading and unloading containers and trucks
- Supporting receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipment confirmations via D365
- Maintaining stock and inventory accuracy throughout daily operations
- Participating in daily pre-starts and toolbox talks, and following all health & safety procedures
- Keeping your work area clean, organised, and to a high operational standard
- Current, hands-on experience operating a reach truck (forklift experience also valued)
- Experience with container and truck loading/unloading
- Comfortable working with warehouse or ERP systems — D365 experience an advantage
- A safety-conscious, reliable team player who works well in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
- You must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise legally entitled to work in New Zealand to apply
- You'll need a current OSH certificate to operate the reach truck and forklift
- Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) police check prior to starting
