We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technologist to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to maintaining high food quality standards within a manufacturing environment. This is a full time position starting immediately. The role is for one month initially, with opportunity for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with chemical and sensory testing as required
- Carry out cleaning inspections and swabbing procedures
- Oversee shelf life testing and manage aged stock
- Handle the management of non-conforming stock
- Conduct GMP, pre-start, and post-production inspections
- Lead corrective action plans and root cause analysis, while driving improvements to the sensory assessment program
- Assist with internal audits and preparation for BRC audits
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols on-site
- Undertake additional QC/QA tasks or projects as directed by the Quality Manager
- Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology
- At least 2 years of experience in a QA role within food manufacturing
- Experience in internal auditing
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literate (MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook)
