We are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Production Co-Ordinator to join our client's well established but growing business in Invercargill. This exciting opportunity requires expertise in procurement and purchasing, along with strong scheduling capabilities. Spending time in the office and on the floor, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating effective communication and co-ordination between manufacturing, logistics, and sales departments.

- Manage procurement and purchasing processes to ensure availability of materials and components
- Develop and maintain work orders and production schedules ensuring orders go out on time and to spec
- Liaise between teams to ensure smooth operations, communication and delivery
- Use project management software to track progress, manage tasks, and streamline operations
- Negotiate and co-ordinate with suppliers to maintain relationships, pricing and supply
- Prepare reports and analyse data to support decision making processes
- Proven experience in procurement and/or purchasing in a trade setting
- Strong computer and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in project or inventory management software (Fieldwire)
- Ability to work collaboratively and positively across departments
- Strong analytic, maths and problem-solving skills
