About the company
Our client is a well-established HVAC contractor based in Christchurch, delivering high-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions across a range of commercial and residential projects. Known for their technical expertise and commitment to service, they are now seeking a skilled Project Manager
to lead the delivery of HVAC installations from concept to completion.
About the Role
This is a dynamic, hands-on role overseeing HVAC projects from initial quoting through to installation and after-sales support. The role is approximately 80% office-based
(quoting, planning, client liaison) and 20% on the tools, supporting site work and ensuring installation quality. You’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive HVAC quotes and tenders
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to scope and price projects
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and variations from design to handover
- Conduct site visits and oversee installation quality and progress
- Provide after-sales support including system commissioning and client instruction
- Represent the company professionally to build strong industry relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in HVAC project management or a related technical field
- Strong commercial acumen and cost control skills
- Confident communicator with excellent client liaison abilities
- Technically proficient in HVAC systems and compliance standards
- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Christchurch-based or willing to relocate; full NZ work rights required
