This role will suit someone who is hands-on, safety-focused, and confident working across mechanical installation, maintenance, and fabrication within an industrial or construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical fitting, installation, and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Perform fabrication and welding tasks to a high standard
- Conduct pipe welding(carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Assemble, install, and align mechanical components and pipework systems
- Perform repairs, shutdown work, and upgrades on site
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Work collaboratively with site teams to meet project deadlines
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Welder / Fabricator
- Strong experience in pipe welding(TIG/MIG/Stick preferred)
- Ability to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or heavy engineering environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometrics
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Relevant trade qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Site experience on large-scale projects (must)
