What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll lead the conceptual development and technical scoping of engineering projects. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality design outputs, bills of materials, and detailed documentation — translating project requirements into manufacturable solutions.
  • Detailed 3D modelling and 2D drawings using Inventor and/or SolidWorks, ensuring designs are production-ready.
  • Preparing accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and supporting quoting and procurement activities.
  • Engineering calculations, simulations, and hands-on prototyping to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
  • Providing technical input during manufacturing and helping resolve any design-related issues that arise.
  • Collaborating across different areas of the business, ensuring smooth delivery and meeting deadlines
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical design
  • Proficiency in  Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes is essential
  • Experience with BOM creation and ERP systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • NZ Resident or Citizen  (essential)
