Maintenance Coordinator / Project Manager – Tasman District

Are you a practical problem solver who knows your way around buildings, maintenance, and construction?

We're looking for someone who can be the go-to person for a maintenance contract, helping coordinate repairs and maintenance across the entire Tasman district on a range of buildings and assets, while leading a team to deliver quality outcomes for clients.

This role would suit someone with a trade, building, construction, or facilities background who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves, investigate issues, make decisions, and get the best out of the people around them.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving maintenance requests and investigating problems
  • Troubleshooting issues and determining what needs to be done
  • Organising the right contractors and tradespeople for the job
  • Managing jobs through to completion
  • Leading, supporting, and coordinating a team of maintenance staff and contractors
  • Allocating work, setting priorities, and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and team members
  • Keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process
  • Creating a positive team culture with a focus on communication and customer service

What We're Looking For

  • Good all-round building and maintenance knowledge
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating teams
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Ability to motivate others and build positive working relationships
  • Confidence dealing with clients, contractors, and staff at all levels
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems
  • Experience coordinating projects, maintenance, or construction works
  • Someone who takes ownership and gets things done

This full-time role will initially be on a long term, temporary basis with high potential for a permanent contract. A vehicle is provided for work purposes so you will require a full, clean class 1 licence.

You will also be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a clean police history.

If you've come from a trade background, worked as a foreman, supervisor, project manager, maintenance coordinator, or you're simply a hands-on "jack of all trades" with great people skills, we'd love to hear from you.
