Maintenance Engineer – GMP Manufacturing

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimising a broad range of production and utility equipment in a GMP-regulated facility. From HVAC systems and boilers to production tech and compressed air systems—this role is all about variety, ownership, and impact.
If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, rolling up your sleeves, and working across mechanical and light electrical systems, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the availability and efficient performance of mechanical and utility systems across the site
- Fault diagnosis, reactive maintenance, and preventative maintenance planning
- Lead and coordinate contractor work and minor site projects
- Support site upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Always work to GMP standards, site SOPs, and Health & Safety procedures
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical or similar qualification
- Hands-on experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, food, factory or production environment is required.
- Strong mechanical skills, with exposure to HVAC, pumps, hydraulics, compressors, etc.
- A practical all-rounder who can work independently and communicate well across teams
- Must be based in New Zealand and have full work rights / open visa.
