Experienced Machine Operator

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operators to join our team in Wellington.
The ideal candidate/s will be responsible for operating heavy machinery (1-7T) to excavate, move, and grade earth for construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate digger machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform excavation and earthmoving tasks according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and work collaboratively with the construction team.
- Interpret and work from site plans and blueprints.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Digger Operator or similar role.
- Proficient in the operation of various types of diggers and heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Excellent hand eye coordination and physical stamina.
Requirements:
- Valid operator licence and certifications specific to digger operation (minimum class 2 RTW)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- MUST pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Perm or NZ Residents ONLY.
Duration:
Ongoing position/s with potential for extension based on project needs.
