Our client, a well-established metal recycling and processing business, is seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers to join their busy yard team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, and works well as part of a team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for assisting with the packing and processing of non-ferrous scrap materials while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the yard. Duties include:
- Hand stacking and packing materials into export containers.
- Operating baling machinery for non-ferrous scrap materials.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Reporting maintenance requirements and safety concerns.
- Assisting across various yard operations as required.
- Forklift operation for suitably licensed and authorised operators.
What We're Looking For
- Previous labouring, yard, manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- Good communication skills.
- Clean criminal history.
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
