About the Role
You’ll play a key role in driving new business while supporting an established customer base across Wellington, Napier, and parts of the Lower and Central North Island.
You’ll be backed by a highly skilled technical and service team, enabling you to focus on what you do best — building relationships, understanding customer needs, and offering smart, reliable HVAC solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing new business opportunities and closing sales across:
- Preventive maintenance contracts
- Equipment upgrades & retrofits
- Breakdown/reactive repairs
- Spare parts, consumables & bundled service packages
- Working closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams on solution design and proposals
- Understanding customer needs and presenting compelling, tailored business cases
- Managing and nurturing long-term relationships with facility managers, asset owners, consultants, and procurement teams
- Driving growth within existing accounts and identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Staying up to date with market trends and competitor offerings
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, technology, and industry practices is a must-have
- A technical trade or qualification in the HVAC industry (ideal but not essential)
- Previous sales experience is an advantage, or a strong desire to step into sales
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence in discussing technical solutions
- A consultative, relationship‑driven approach to customer engagement
- Ability to work autonomously while being an engaged team contributor
- Someone with NZ residency/citizenship / full work rights is required
