Hydraulic Hose Technician / Mobile Service Technician

Are you a hands-on mechanic or technician who enjoys solving problems and working independently?
Our client is looking for a practical, mechanically minded technician to join our team in a mobile Hose Van role, servicing a wide range of customers across construction, civil, transport, forestry and industrial sectors.
If you enjoy variety, being out on the road, and fixing real problems for customers — this role offers the opportunity to work with a respected hydraulic specialist while developing your technical skills.
The Role
As a Hose Van Technician, you’ll operate a fully equipped service vehicle responding to hydraulic breakdowns and maintenance jobs across the region.
Your day could include:
Diagnosing hydraulic hose failures
Manufacturing replacement hoses on-site
Installing hydraulic hoses and fittings
Attending breakdowns and urgent repairs
Fault finding on hydraulic systems
Working directly with customers to get machinery back up and running
Every day is different — from construction sites and truck depots to quarries and workshops.

We’re interested in people with strong mechanical aptitude and a practical approach to problem solving.
Backgrounds that work well include:
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Mechanical Fitter / Fitter Turner
  • Hydraulic Technician
  • Maintenance Technician
  • Agricultural Mechanic
  • Automotive Mechanic with hydraulic exposure
Experience with hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, pumps or cylinders is a big advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.

Requirements
  • Full driver’s licence
  • Mechanical experience with tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in field environments
  • Physically fit and practical
Bonus skills (not essential):
  • Welding experience
  • HT licence
  • Previous field service experience
  • Hydraulic hose assembly experience
