We are seeking an experienced Fork Lift Truck Operator to join a growing warehouse team in Christchurch. This is a Monday to Friday role (7:00am to 3:30pm) in a modern facility that has been operating just over a year, known for its scale and size of operation.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on position that goes beyond driving. Alongside operating forklifts with long forks to handle a variety of loads stacked up to 3 pallets high, you will also be responsible for detailed picking and packing, QR scanning, and using warehouse management systems. Accuracy, efficiency, and technical capability are important as the site continues to grow and support new contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a forklift with long forks confidently with varied loads at height
- Detailed picking, packing, and scanning of goods
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Inputting data into warehouse systems with accuracy
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Supporting the team as required in a fast-paced setting
What You'll Bring:
- Must have proven experience operating a forklift truck
- Current reach truck licence essential
- Ideally with long forks experience
- Comfortable working with high stacking (up to 6m) and mixed freight
- Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Able to pick up warehouse systems and processes quickly
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
