A long-established, family-owned Canterbury engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their busy workshop.

A proudly local operation with a strong reputation in stainless steel fabrication, TIG and MIG welding, CNC machining, and foundry casting. They supply engineering solutions and manufactured products across a range of industries, both in New Zealand and overseas — varied, interesting work rather than the same job day in, day out.
About the role
Hands-on fabrication and welding work, with a strong focus on stainless steel and TIG:
- TIG welding on stainless steel, where a clean, high-quality finish is the priority
- Purge welding
- Fabrication, assembly, cutting and folding
- Working from engineering drawings
- Taking pride in a high standard of workmanship
- 3+ years of solid fabrication and welding experience
- Confident TIG welding on stainless steel
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Trade qualifications aren't essential — we care more about what you can actually do
- Permanent, full-time position
- $30–$40/hr, depending on experience
- Overtime (over 40h) paid at time and a half
