We are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their Christchurch-based team.
This is a hands-on fabrication position, working primarily with thin-gauge stainless steel and aluminium. You'll be involved in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality equipment used within the food processing industry, where attention to detail and workmanship are essential.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel
- Experience TIG welding aluminium
- Proven fabrication experience with thin gauge materials
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience using workshop machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment
- Close attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Food-grade stainless steel fabrication
- Stainless steel tanks, pipework, or process equipment fabrication
- MIG welding experience
- Polishing and finishing stainless steel
- Experience within manufacturing or engineering workshops
- Full-time, ongoing work with the potential for a permanent contract
- Modern and well-equipped workshop

- Competitive pay based on experience $35 - $41 per hour
