Fabricator Welder
Our client is a leading manufacturer of food processing equipment, supplying innovative solutions to customers throughout New Zealand and internationally.

We are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their Christchurch-based team.
This is a hands-on fabrication position, working primarily with  thin-gauge  stainless steel and aluminium. You'll be involved in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality equipment used within the food processing industry, where attention to detail and workmanship are essential.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel
  • Experience TIG welding aluminium
  • Proven fabrication experience with thin gauge materials
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience
  • Experience using workshop machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment
  • Close attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience:
  • Food-grade stainless steel fabrication
  • Stainless steel tanks, pipework, or process equipment fabrication
  • MIG welding experience
  • Polishing and finishing stainless steel
  • Experience within manufacturing or engineering workshops
