Dunedin | Temporary(with possibility of Temp-to-Perm) | $35–$40 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and registered Maintenance Electrician to carry out electrical servicing, repairs, and installations across a range of domestic and commercial buildings in Dunedin, on a temporary basis with strong potential to move to a permanent role for the right person.
Core Duties
- Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Install, maintain, and upgrade wiring, lighting, switchboards, sockets, and appliances
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and complete timely repairs
- Carry out periodic safety inspections and testing (e.g. RCD checks, Test & Tag, Electrical Safety Certificates)
- Ensure all work complies with the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 and AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
- Complete compliance paperwork, job sheets, and records accurately
- Registered Electrician with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB)
- Current Practising Licence
- At least 2–3 years' post-registration experience in domestic and/or commercial electrical work
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
- Competitive hourly pay ($35–$40/hour)
