This role suits someone who is naturally proactive, results‑focused and relationship‑driven, an astute individual who knows what’s happening on site, backs their Facilities Managers, and isn’t afraid to challenge service providers when performance slips.
The Role
You’ll be a key link between FM’s and service providers, ensuring contracts deliver what they promise. You’ll support all FMs in contractor engagement, performance discussions and commercial conversations - providing confidence, evidence and push‑back when needed.
Rather than managing contracts from a distance, you’ll stay close to the action, building trust, tracking performance firsthand and ensuring KPIs truly reflect what’s being delivered on site.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing facilities and hard services contracts end‑to‑end (including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire, BMS, lifts and plumbing)
- Supporting and backing Facilities Managers in contractor discussions and decisions
- Building strong, credible relationships with service providers
- Tracking and driving KPIs through real site visibility, not just reports
- Challenging performance, cost and compliance when required
- Ensuring health & safety, compliance and value for money
- Bringing fresh thinking to how contracts are managed and measured
About You
- Proven experience in facilities, property or building services environments
- Strong exposure to hard services delivery and contractor performance
- Confident managing service contracts and performance outcomes
- Commercially minded and collaborative by nature
- Comfortable being on site, visible and involved
- Pragmatic, solution‑oriented and comfortable having robust conversations
- Keen to improve how things are done, not just maintain the status quo
