Contractor Compliance Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Contractor Compliance Coordinator to support a busy engineering and maintenance team within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating contractor activities, managing permit-to-work processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate contractor inductions and site access.
  • Assess risks and issue permits to work for contractor activities.
  • Conduct permit inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain contractor records, training, and permitting documentation.
  • Support maintenance activities, high-risk work, and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand health and safety legislation and site procedures.
 
About You
  • Experience in contractor management, permitting, or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand Health & Safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contractor/compliance management systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or other regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Exposure to quality systems (GMP, GLP, ISO) and project coordination experience would be beneficial.
