About the Role
As the Contract & Commercial QS, you’ll provide end‑to‑end commercial management across procurement, delivery, and close‑out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing procurement strategies, tender packages, and BOQs
- Leading tender evaluations and supporting subcontract negotiations
- Managing cost plans, cost-to-complete, CVRs, budgets, and monthly reporting
- Processing payment claims, variations, EOTs, and claims with strong commercial justification
- Overseeing valuations, cash flow forecasting, and final accounts
- Ensuring contract compliance, drafting notices, and maintaining accurate records
- Managing risk registers and working with legal advisors when required
- Collaborating with project managers, planners, site teams, finance, clients, and auditors
- Supporting best‑practice commercial systems and promoting strong H&S standards
- Degree or Diploma in QS, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years’ QS experience, including 3+ years on major commercial/civil/infrastructure projects
- Solid post‑contract experience (variations, EOTs, claims, final accounts)
- Strong cost reporting, measurement, Excel and QS software skills
- Confident communicator and negotiator
- Proven ability to manage commercial risk and maintain financial control
