This is a hands-on leadership role—ideal for someone who still loves being on the tools but also enjoys coaching others, improving processes, and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll be leading the day-to-day operations of the CNC workshop, mentoring a team, and driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Running the CNC workshop and leading daily operations
- Programming and operating CNC Fanuc machines
- Supporting and mentoring machinists, managing workflow and job allocation
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Identifying ways to improve machining processes, reduce cycle times, and lift output
- Keeping safety, quality, and workshop standards high
- 6+ years’ CNC machining experience
- Solid programming and operating ability, with a practical mindset
- Previous leadership or team lead experience
- Great communication and organisational skills
- A sharp eye for detail and strong safety/quality focus
