Are you an experienced Class 5 driver looking for a Monday–Friday role with plenty of variety?
We’re looking for a reliable and professional Class 5 Driver to join a busy operation in Wigram, Christchurch, delivering glass products to customers in Dunedin, then driving back to Wigram.
This is more than just a driving role. You’ll be involved in the full delivery process, including loading and unloading product, securing loads and working directly with customers.
What’s involved?
- Safely deliver scheduled loads while following all road and transport requirements
- Load, unload and handle glass products, including regular manual lifting
- Ensure loads are correctly planned, secured and transported
- Work with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Represent the business positively through your driving, presentation and customer service
- Follow safe handling practices when working with fragile and high-value products
A forklift or Hiab licence would be an advantage, while an overhead crane licence is desirable.
- A Class 5 licence with at least 2 years’ driving experience
- Solid commercial driving experience, ideally in logistics, FMCG or a similar environment
- Experience with load planning, restraint and safe handling of freight
- Good route planning and time-management skills
- The physical capability to carry out frequent glass lifts throughout the day
- A strong customer service focus and professional approach
- A reliable attitude and commitment to working safely
- Monday–Friday work
- Night Shift with a 1:30am–10:00am shift
- Based in Wigram, Christchurch
