Our client is seeking a New Zealand Qualified Carpenter to join their team on a permanent contract. They have a strong pipeline of mainly aged-care and large-scale residential builds from ground up.
This role would suit someone who’s confident in their trade and starting to look ahead to a leading hand or foreman pathway. You don’t need decades of experience, but you do need to be capable, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
You’ll be involved across a range of projects, so solid exposure to both new builds and renovations is important, along with a genuine eye for detail and pride in what you produce. A key part of this role is the ability to confidently read, interpret and work from architectural drawings, and communicate these clearly on site when needed.
What we’re looking for:
- NZ Qualified Carpenter
- Solid experience in residential & commercial construction – new builds and renovations
- Ability to read and work off plans independently
- Comfortable giving direction to others on site where required
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Great attitude and reliability
- Positive attitude, reliable, and team-focused
- Own tools and reliable transport preferred
- Site Safe or relevant H&S tickets an advantage
- Competitive wages: $35 –$39 per hour, depending on experience
