We're looking for asphalt labourers for an ongoing temp assignment with a leading civil contractor working across Christchurch and wider Canterbury.
This is hand-laid asphalt work on smaller areas: footpaths, driveways, car parks, patch repairs, tie-ins and detail work around kerbs and services. Barrow and rake experience is what we're after.
What you'll be doing
- Barrowing and raking asphalt on small-scale works
- Prep work, edge trimming and tidy-up
- Assisting the crew with plant, tools and traffic management
- Keeping the site safe and presentable
- Previous asphalt experience, barrow and raking preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Reliable transport and a full or restricted licence
- Good attitude, solid attendance and a willingness to muck in
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Competitive hourly rate, dependant on experience - paid weekly
- Ongoing assignment with consistent hours
- PPE provided
- Look after the client and there's plenty more work to follow [with the potential to go permanent]
