Tom Swailes

I started my career in the hospitality industry, working as a bartender at several bars across Christchurch while studying a Bachelor of Sport Marketing and Management at the University of Canterbury. I later took some time away from university to explore car sales at Wheeler Motor Company, before making a move into employment and recruitment with Workbridge. After finding my feet there, I discovered a strong interest in the temporary side of recruitment, which led me to Enterprise, where I’m now focused on building my career and growing my experience in the industry.

I work within the Industrial team at Enterprise as a Recruitment Coordinator, supporting the team with candidate screening, interviewing, and connecting talent with the right opportunities. A key strength I bring to the role is my ability to quickly build rapport and connect with people, something I developed through my background in sales and hospitality.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, whether that’s at the gym, playing rugby union, or anything that involves a bit of healthy competition. I also love socialising with friends and family, making the most of Christchurch by trying new foods, exploring the countryside, and checking out new restaurants and bars.

I’m also a big football fan and proudly support Manchester United. They will definitely be winning the Premier League this year, despite what my colleagues and friends might say.
